Even though the best time of the year to dive in Ao Nang, Krabi is between November and April, it is still perfectly possible to dive virtually any day of the year. As diving in Krabi is considered one of the safest destinations for diving and snorkeling in the world, it is perfect for first-timers wanting to try these pastimes out.

Aonang Scuba Center offers a great opportunity for diving due to its numerous natural marine resources including over a hundred offshore islands. Aonang Scuba Center provided and services Scuba and Skin diving day trips around Ao Nang Krabi Phi-Phi Islands Hin-Dang Hin-Moung Kho Ha Yai and Similan Islands at the reasonable price.
The advantage of diving from Ao Nang is the nearby sites in the Poda Island group, where water visibility is better than that of the mainland, but not as good as Phi Phi Islands. There are more then 20 dive sites off of Ao Nang, all reachable with a 40 minute to 2.30 Hour boat ride. For experienced divers there is a 50-meter long cave at 5-12 meters depth at Yawabon Island behind Poda. The water visibility is at its best from November to April. The Similans consist of 9 islands (Similan means 9 in Malay language) Ko Bon, Ko Bayu, Ko Similan, Ko Payu, Ko Miang (two adjoining islands), Ko Payan, Ko Payang, and Ko Huyong.
